Motivating and empowering young researchers: Huge enthusiasm for Charlesworth Knowledge workshops in Spain

Our team from Charlesworth Knowledge, the author education service provided by The Charlesworth Group, delivered a very successful series of researcher workshops last week at universities in Spain.

The Charlesworth team comprising Dr Chris Murawski and Dr Gareth Dyke met with large numbers of enthusiastic young researchers at higher education institutions in Barcelona and Madrid. Dr. Dyke, head of content development and delivery for Charlesworth Knowledge, presented one of our popular workshops, ‘How to write and publish your papers in high impact journals’.

Our material was received enthusiastically and led to good, sometimes heated, discussion around scientific paper writing and the peer-review process. A key aim for every workshop is to enable discussion of these otherwise difficult topics in lively and engaging ways to help young researchers gain the confidence they need to achieve their potential writing and publishing their work. Our team of trainers are experienced in writing and publishing their own work in leading journals, like Nature and Science.

The Charlesworth Group has a well-established, international reputation for excellence in author services. Our editors are PhD-qualified, native English speakers and our author satisfaction rates typically exceed 95%. Indeed, 85% of authors who submit paper to Charlesworth for language improvements and editing get their work accepted in their first-choice journal. Not bad going.
